The girls 3rd match of the season saw them take on Eire Og last Wed night,30th April, at Páirc an Tóchar.
Eire Og travelled with a large and impressive team with a lot of supporters.
Our girls played well with great work by Lyla in midfield supported by Aimee and Ruth Ireland.
Eve worked hard and had great speed up and down the field, Sinead Brady was solid in the backs and Alannah Langral up front showed great speed and skill. Kelly McHugh and her strong kicks from the back getting it up the field to Jessica, Sorcha and Caitlin. Sinead Doyle did well in goals in first half. Aoife Stacy as always played great, never letting them away with much, Ruth Nolan worked the wing well for first half replaced by Erin in second half also working hard. Lauren playing out field this match worked well and sub Ciara’s first match did very well.
Our girls looked confident and enjoyed the game but unfortunately didn’t get the result they deserved.
But they are coming together as a team and are benefitting from their great training sessions on Tuesdays.
