Under 12 Panel Verses St Pats (11/04/2014).
Our under 12’s had our first match of the year on Friday evening, when we travelled into Dunbar to play St Pats. Two 12 aside games were played simultaneously, and the outcome proved to be very close with the contest settled with literally the last kick of the ball.
On pitch 1 our lads went in at half time 3 points up thanks to some great defending by man of the match Marc Walsh ably aided by Kian Timmons and Piaras Morris, while up front Niall Sheahen helped himself to a first half hat trick thanks to some great supply from Kyle Graham. In the second half St Pats came back strong but our lads stood tall with Bobby Brady, Ben Staunton really digging deep while Matt Nolan chipped in with 1-3. Final Score An Tochar 5-4 St Pats 2-12

They lads on pitch 2 got off to a flying start and were ahead by 9 points at half time thanks to some great defending by Kian Brady in goals with Conor Fee and John Paul closing down St Pats attack. Darragh Fee scored 2- 3 thanks to some brilliant team play down the field from Dylan Cummins, Niall Byrne and Luke Kenny. In the second half, both James Cardiff and Sean Price impressed upfront with Roan Hayes gaining a huge amount of possession in the backs. Jordan Brady dominated the midfield exchanges throughout the game scoring a personal tally of 1-2. Kian Brady moved out field in the second half and scored a point. St Pats improved in the second too but luckily An Tochar had Robert Byrne, Donal Byrne and Killian Byrne to stem the tide. It was a very good game of football with St Pats scoring a goal with the last kick of the game. Final score An Tochar 3 – 6, St Pats 4 – 5
