Last Friday 21-Jun saw the An Tochar GAA Under 10 boys take on St Patricks, Eire Og and Bray Emmetts in their latest Go Games blitz. In what turned out to be a wet summers evening at Aras an Tochar the lads performed wonderfully to battle against the slippy conditions as well as their opposition.
In total more than 20 lads were available which meant that An Tochar could field two strong teams.
For Team 1, the silkys (for the shiny shirts they wore), there were strong performances from Daniel Byrne in Defence, Conor Fee in Midfield and Rowan Fulvio in Attack. Sean Brady also proved to be Mr Versatile as he played in goal, defence and midfield in the three games he played.
For Team 2, the stripes (for the stripy shirts), there were great performances from Cian Timmons, Jake Brady, Ciaran Murphy and James Cardiff.
From the football being played it was clear that the hard work all the players are putting in on training nights is starting to pay off. Keep up the good work!
The next Go Games is back in Newtown in 2 weeks time (05-Jul) – hope to see you all there!
